About
Marisa Nienberg is a filmmaker, writer, musician, and student. She is currently a junior at MIT pursuing a degree in Writing (Digital Media) and taking various film classes at Massachusetts College of Art and Design as well as Harvard University.
Marisa first discoverd her love of filmmaking in 6th grade, making a music video for a song she wrote about Alexander the Great for a final project in her World History class. Following that project, Marisa began making her own small film projects as well as making videos to get extra credit for classes.
After attempting to pursue other fields of study such as architecture and medicine, even declaring a neuroscience major her freshman year of college, she realized that her passion for film was undeniable and she had to follow it.
She has since made efforts to take as many film classes as possible, even cross registering to take classes at other schools. In the summer of 2015, she worked for Doomsday entertainment, a music video production company, and got experience as a production assistant on various music videos. For the last two years she has worked as Producer/Director of MIT's Art, Culture, and Technology media production team. In October of 2015, she worked as an assistant video designer for the opera, Persona, which premiered in New York.
She thrives in creative environments and is excited by working with groups of creative people. After graduation, she plans to work in film.
